The Drive Out

Pickup runs through 11 select Las Vegas hotels in the morning, then the coach crosses the Mojave Desert. A routing engine gives about 3 hours 4 minutes to Grand Canyon West from the Strip with no stops, and the Hoover Dam stop and rest breaks stretch that further. On board you get Wi-Fi, bottled water and snacks while the guide talks through Southern Nevada and the Hualapai Nation.

The route passes through one of the largest Joshua Tree forests in the world before the rim appears.

Hoover Dam from the Bridge

Before returning to Las Vegas the coach stops for about 30 minutes at the Mike O'Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge, which carries US-93 across the Colorado River roughly 1,500 feet downstream of Hoover Dam. This is a panoramic photo stop over the dam and Lake Mead, not a visit to the dam itself or its visitor center. Eagle Point and the Skywalk
